Your Amplify Austin Day Checklist for Success

Here are a few helpful tips to keep in mind for a successful Amplify Austin Day!


Always use your AmplifyATX.org profile when promoting your campaign.

Any time you are promoting Amplify Austin Day or Amplify Wilco Day, you must use your donation profile on AmplifyATX.org. Please do not use any other donation platform when promoting Amplify Austin Day or Amplify Wilco Day.


Do not use Facebook or Instagram fundraisers for Amplify Austin Day. 

These fundraisers do not integrate into our system and do not count towards your Amplify Austin Day total or towards matches or prizes. Additionally, you will not receive all of your donor information if you use these fundraising systems like you would on AmplifyATX.org.


Put your focus on Amplify Austin Day at this time.

Now that we are two weeks away from Amplify Austin Day, you should be directing your fundraising efforts towards your profile on AmplifyATX.org and not competing fundraising efforts.


Share your campaign everywhere your supporters are.

Your campaign should be everywhere your audience is: your e-newsletters, your social media, your website, on flyers if you have a physical location, in your email signature…you get the idea! We have plenty of design tools to help you accomplish this.


Include all important details in your campaign communications.

Make sure your communications include the dates and times for Amplify Austin Day (6 pm March 5-6 pm March 6) and your profile link on AmplifyATX.org. Use the full campaign name of either Amplify Austin Day or Amplify Wilco Day when referring to this event.

Matching Gifts

How to submit a matching gift

Did you secure a matching donation for your Amplify Austin Day campaign? Awesome! Here are some details on how to make the most of this opportunity. 


If you want your gift to count towards your official Amplify Austin Day total, which will help you be more competitive for prizes and Amplify Fund matches, you must submit your match through the offline gift process. I Live Here I Give Here will process the gift, attribute it to your campaign, and distribute it back to you with offline distribution in the spring.


If your donor prefers to make their matching gift online, they should do that once you've met the match with other donations. If you need more clarification on this, please email Charli@ILiveHereIGiveHere.org for help.


If you choose to directly accept your matching gift outside of the offline gift process, you can still use the matching gift feature on AmplifyATX.org to display the match to your donors.

Are you hosting a public event for Amplify Austin Day or Amplify Wilco Day? Make sure it’s on our nonprofit community events calendar. We will share all upcoming events in our newsletter and on our social media starting next week.

Participate In a Marketing Video

We are working on two marketing videos for Amplify Austin Day and would like to invite every nonprofit to be a part of it. All you need to do is record a simple video saying your nonprofit name and thank you. You can record it as an individual or with team members. Please record the video vertically (portrait) and email it to robynne@ilivehereigivehere.org by 2/21. 


You can see an example that Robynne recorded here so you know exactly what to do. In the example she says “I Live Here I Give Here” but you will record YOUR nonprofit name.

In light of the current political climate, we want to let you know that I Live Here I Give Here will continue to promote all of our cause categories as well as continue to include BIPOC leadership and Racial Equity Statements as search filters on AmplifyATX.org.


We recognize that some nonprofits may need or want to change the cause category they appear in or make other changes on how they are searched on AmplifyATX.org. If this applies to you, please respond to this email and let us know.
